Chrysler has recently announced the delivery of the first 800 units of the brand new 2014 SRT Viper in the United States.
After the first 2014 SRT Viper has been auctioned for charity just a few weeks ago, following the same path as the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, the sports car is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the North American based automaker announcing the delivery of the first 800 units to their customers.
“The business case works at far less than 2,000 a year. It’s a handmade car. It’s really a laborious process”, said the company’s chief Ralph Gilles, during the 2013 New York Auto Show.
As a quick reminder, the 2013 SRT Viper is coming with an 8.4 liter V10 engine, producing 640 HP (477 kW) and 814 Nm of torque (600 lb-ft), mated to a six-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is done in approximately 3 seconds and top speed stands at 331 km/h (206 mph). Prices for the model have been set at 97,395 USD, without the 1,995 USD destination charge, while the 2013 SRT Viper GTS costs 120,395 USD.
